In this section on peace of the mind, many methods are described for calming the mind. The mind that gives reality to this world is itself fundamentally unreal. In truth, the mind has no real existence. \u201cI\u201d am not the mind; rather, I am entirely distinct from the mind \u2014 I am of the nature of pure consciousness, of the nature of the Supreme Reality (Brahman).<\/p>\n
When firm conviction arises through the knowledge of one\u2019s true nature, the mind automatically becomes quiet. That itself is the complete realization of the Self \u2014 the state of eternal bliss and peace.
